Cloudjumper v1.1 Collage

The reason I've barely posted anything in a long time... I've been working on a massive Cloudjumper!  I finally got the opportunity to do exactly what I wanted to do, without constraints for time, and I couldn't be prouder of him!  Some day I'll post all the v0.x drafts I've made to get this far, but this has been the most labor intensive project I've ever pursued.  He has almost 30 individual pattern pieces, including unique patterns for each and every fin (his headdress is asymmetrical!).  As the title implies though, he's not the final product.  I'll be keeping him, just like I kept my v1.0 Toothless, and I'll be making several more to improve before making an ultimate version as a gift for my mom. 

Cloudjumper stands all on his own, which required a lot of specific patterning to make happen!  He's almost 20" tall to the top of his head, and his top crest reaches 24".  His wings are posable with plastic armature, and spread around 40" wide as pictured.  He has the full three layers of head fins, three-finned tail, and machine embroidered eyes, teeth, and chin coloration.  The tail details are all appliqued then satin stitched in place.

He's made entirely of minky fabric.  The final version will likely have resin claws and spines, and I want to improve the head fins.  I'm also going to move the teeth closer in and adjust the blue chin detailing.
