EDIT: I've gotten a fair amount of interest, so I will probably be making him. For all of you who are interested, he will stand 13-14" tall to the top of his head, made of minky fabric with machine embroidered eyes and cutie mark. He will also come with his yoke. Price is TBD but just for a reference he will be somewhere $150-250. I am also considering doing him as a charity pony, where at least 50% of the selling price goes straight to a non-profit.
The pony, I mean! I've been working hard on my stallion pattern to have it ready to release. I cannot believe how many extra details stallions have that mares don't (six extra pages of instructions!). I have these awesome wireframes of the Royal Guard pony and Shining Armor all done, but I felt uncomfortable releasing the pattern with only two manes and tails. So I drafted up Big Mac, but since I only made test versions, and not a complete version, it's hard to make a good wire frame. Plus the listing wouldn't have a nice color photograph of a finished Big Mac for reference.

What do you think I should do? Release as-is, with the patterns but no reference picture? Make an entire finished Big Mac just for the pattern? If I do, who wants a Big Mac? I already have two Royal Guards taking over my desk! It'd be so much work to make him if no one wanted a Big Mac to love.
Also, for anyone who didn't know, my mare pattern is live and on Etsy! www.etsy.com/shop/munchforlunc… I got some great advice from watchers on changing the cover image (thank you!) and sales did pick up! And all my patterns come with unlimited help and advice.
In my abundant free time I am slowly drafting two other patterns, one pony and one non-pony related. It's really fun to sit down over the weekend and draw sketches and pictures and try and puzzle it all out. Plus I owe a few dedicated fans some promised and long-delayed plush!

Who wants to make a cute Toothless in time for Christmas?

Toothless Pattern - For Sale Soon!
I've gotten a ton of requests for my Toothless pattern and I wanted to take the opportunity to announce that it will be for sale, hopefully by the end of the day tomorrow!
I've been working on the pattern on and off, but despite all the hours I've put into it, I only have all the pattern pieces digitized, sized, formatted, and laid out on pages. I haven't gotten to any of the instructions or descriptions, and at this rate I don't know if I'm going to make it. I've also had several folks ask for the pattern in time for Christmas and given how excited I am to finish my Toothless for my mom, I can understand the excitement!
So the pattern I
Toothless Prototypes - All Sold!
*EDIT* All sold, thank you!
I've had a lot of interest in my prototype Toothless/Night Furies and offering them for sale. I decided I didn't know what to do with five Night Furies, so all but the first prototype will be going up for sale.
FULL DISCLAIMER:
- These are prototypes and each one is a little different. There will never be another Toothless like them because the pattern doesn't exist any more. While I call them prototypes because they were efforts towards a final goal, each one is still made with the same quality materials and care.
- I will likely be posting the final pattern for sale, but it will take a few months. At t
What I woke up to, and Toothless
I have been busy making tweaks to my Toothless pattern, both to try and perfect the pattern for my final version for my mom, and because having a sewing room full of giant, huggable, grinning dragons makes me happy every time I step in there. I'm up to three full sized prototypes now: one with full wings with tubing, one with half sized wired wings, and one albino with full sized wired wings.
I woke up this morning to go work on pattern drafts for #4, and this is what I found on the sewing room floor.
I cannot make this up! None of the prototypes have their heads sewn on, only pinned, and as you can tell by the self-satisfied miscreant in
