More Toothless WIP

I am SO EXCITED for this guy!  I've finished the body and tail now!  I still have to do the wings and his spare fin.  I love this guy so much it's going to be hard to give him to my mom when I'm done.  I'm going after a lot of details - resin claws, buckled spare fin, maybe a saddle.  The wings are going to be posable with boning made of copper tubing.  BTW, finding appropriate buckles for this guy is really hard!  Also, the black minky just washes out all the detailing, like the satin stitched veining and the gradient embroidery on his eyes.

Full disclosure: the body pattern was kicking my butt, so I bought the Funky Friends lion pattern and am using that for the body.  There are definitely some tweaks I want to make if I ever make a round two, but it really helped me get the proportions right and the feet to all sit flat on the floor.  The head, tail, and fin patterns are all my own.
